FAQ

Good to know

The questions walkers ask most. Something missing? Ask us.

When and where is the walk?

Saturday 23 January 2027, starting at 06:30 from Randburg Recreation Centre in Randburg, Johannesburg.

Which distance should I choose?

There are three routes: 5KM, 10KM and 23KM. One ticket covers all of them, so choose the one that suits you. If you are new to walking long distances, 5KM or 10KM is a good start. See the routes.

How much is a ticket?

Adults (13 and up) pay R250. Kids aged 12 and under pay R120. Quicket adds a small booking fee at checkout.

Where do I buy tickets?

Tickets are sold on Quicket from Monday 5 October 2026. Use the Buy your ticket button on this site so you land on the official event.

Can I book for a group?

Yes. Schools, companies and community groups can send us a group enquiry and the team will help you.

Is it a race?

No. It is a walk, and you set your own pace. The point is to show up, walk together and connect.

What should I bring?

Comfortable shoes, a hat, sunscreen and water. January mornings in Johannesburg warm up quickly. The full walker's guide will be published on The walk page before the day.

How do I become a partner or sponsor?

Choose Partner or sponsor the walk in the enquiry form and the team will send you the partnership details.
